Sir Don Rowlands Centre at Mighty River Domain

Every week in New Zealand, three families will hear the devastating news that their child has cancer.

Earlier this year, we became one of those statistics. Our daughter Fleur was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. This devastating diagnosis has motivated us to fundraise for ongoing research into improving the treatment options and outcomes for Kiwi kids fighting cancer.

Event Information

Tickets include canapés and a complimentary drink on arrival, a delectable three-course meal and drinks with dinner, live and silent auctions, and fantastic entertainment throughout the evening, including live music to dance the night away. Special guests and performances will make this a night to remember. Bid on unique items in our auctions and try your luck in the Golden Ticket raffle.

This community event is organised by a committee of volunteers on behalf of the Willison Family. Our ambitious goal is to raise $100,000. All profits will go to the organisation that has supported us and many other families throughout their child's cancer journey, as well as contribute to ongoing research into better treatment options and outcomes for other Kiwi kids like our Fleur.

Fleur’s Story

Since Fleur’s heartbreaking diagnosis, we have visited Starship’s Blood and Cancer Ward every 7-10 days for her treatment. On each visit, we saw many who experienced worse. Kids fighting even harder battles or those with awful side effects. Despite the incredibly challenging times, the unsung heroes on the ward turn up every day with smiles on their faces, reassuring families and ensuring our kids get the best possible treatment to save, extend and improve their lives despite their cancer diagnosis.

We are motivated to raise as much money as possible to give back to the organisation that has helped us and so many other families throughout their child’s cancer journey. Please help us make a difference for Kiwi kids facing cancer by donating a prize for our auctions or contributing to the event as a cash sponsor or supporter. If you are interested, please let me know, and I can give you further details.

Thank you so much in advance for your support.
